Painting exhibition 'The World of Fairy Tales'

From August 5th to August 9th, 2020, we have the pleasure of hosting works from the exhibition "The World of Fairy Tale" by Terry Zikou. The exhibition venue will be open daily from 18:00 to 22:00.

The exhibition opening is on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at 7:00 PM. We would be delighted to see you there.

Artist

Eleftheria Zikou was born on May 23, 1972, in Munich, Germany, and resides in Paralia Arkitsas in the Municipality of Lokroi.

Work Experience

1999 – 2011: "Ellanion". Conservation Workshop of Artworks and Production of Sculpture Replicas. During my employment, I participated in the following projects:

• Representation of the excavation of the ground during the works of the "Attiko Metro" at Syntagma, as well as the creation of replicas from pieces found on-site, which are exhibited at the stations "Syntagma," "Panepistimio," and "Evangelismos."
• Creation of sculpture replicas from figures of the eastern pediment and the western and northern sides of the Parthenon's frieze, located in the British Museum. These replicas were then placed at the "Acropolis" station of the Attiko Metro.
• Representation of soil excavation at the "Dafni" station.
• Construction of replicas of ancient statues placed at the four entrances of the departure hall of the Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos."
• Construction of a series of replicas of works by the sculptor Christos Kapralos, which were placed in the peristyle of the Hellenic Parliament.
• Construction of a replica mural depicting the Santorini boxers' performance for the General Secretariat of Sports.
• Construction of sculpture bases for the permanent exhibition of the National Gallery.
• Construction of theatrical sets for the needs of the performances at the Theater ΩΨ

1995 – 2014: Participation in the Summer excavations at the archaeological site of Kolona, Aegina, conducted by the Archaeological Institute of the University of Salzburg, Austria. My work in the excavation activities included the following tasks:

• Cleaning of vessels and ceramic findings.
• Adhesions, securing, and restoration of vessels and ceramic findings.
• Aesthetic restoration.

1997: Conservation and Restoration Workshop, including gilding, for historical objects and images at Hoffman, Bremen, Germany.

1993 – 1995: Restoration of icons and gilding at the Holy Temple of Zoodochos Pigi on Academias Street, Athens.
